Adding lots of fruits and vegetables in regular diet is essential for pregnant ladies. Some fruits like pineapple, papaya and grapes are considered to be harmful during these days. Along with it avoid consumption of processed food or canned food in the days of pregnancy.

It is advised by the doctors to take folic acid supplements during the first four months of pregnancy. Also the veggies like spinach, lentils and beans are rich in folic acid. Pregnant ladies should eat carrots as it can provide vitamin A for baby’s internal growth. 

Consumption of nuts can provide very good amount of minerals like copper, manganese, magnesium and calcium.  The dry fruits like walnuts, almonds and figs are beneficial for baby’s brain development.

Along with all these things, pregnant ladies should consume a very good amount of water daily. Following are some recipes which can prove beneficial for normal delivery:

The best patti vaithiyam  for vomiting during  pregnancy time is jeera kashayam. Dry roast jeera in a pan and add little amount of jaggery and a glass of water in it. Boil the mixture till it reduces the quantity. Consume lukewarm.

Kai vaithiyam for pregnancy advice to take vendhayam during pregnancy. Dry roast methi seeds in a pan and add some amount of jaggery and water in it. Boil the mixture and when reduced consume lukewarm.

nattu vaithiyam for pregnancy supports the iron intake during pregnancy period. Boil water in pan and add jaggery in it. Add curry leaf stem in water and take a boil. Don’t add curry leaves, only stem should be used. Take a boil to reduce the mixture, serve it warm.

Remove the leaves of drumstick leaves and boil the stems in the water along with jaggery. Reduce the mixture and consume it when warm.
Dry roast somb in pan and add water and jaggery in it. Boil the mixture and reduce it. Consume it lukewarm

Make coarse powder of dry ginger and boil it in water with jaggery. Reduce the mixture and consume it lukewarm.
